  A ZERO star should be given. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE at the Charleston Airport! We made a reservation to receive a convertible on April 26, 2017. The reservation was made in January of 2017 (plenty of time). We received a confirmation number and called two other times to confirm the reservation. Upon arrival (after an hour in terrible traffic), we were told the car would not be available for another 3 hours because there had been some kind of mix-up. The employees were less than sympathetic and made no apologies for the inconvenience. We asked why a phone call to us was not given, but they had no answer as to why this courtesy was not extended. However, we later went to the Avis Car rental at 390 Meeting Street in Charleston and were greeted with respect and immediately were able to rent a convertible without any issues. We love to come to Charleston (and travel), but we will NEVER attempt to use Alamo again.
